The CMPHR was set up in 2001 as a logical extension of, and in partnership with, the Human Rights Education Programme (HREP) which had been working in Pakistan since 1995.
HREP’s strong 12-year history of work with children and teachers through over 450 schools and 35 organisations all over Pakistan can therefore be seen as a precursor to the concept of the CMPHR.
Since 2001 CMPHR and HREP have been working in partnership on projects.
The CMPHR hopes to move into its custom-built premises in 2010

The CMPHR is currently undertaking a capital project of an over 100,000 square feet of custom-built facility designed by ARCOP, to be built on 1.5 acres of land within the old Race Course Ground in Karachi. The construction of the premises is expected to start in April 2008 and we hope to open doors to the public in 2010.
While the premises are being built, CMPHR continues to undertake its work with children and schools. For details please see
